Right then. So I don't use Vox an enormous amount, and I probably should. I don't talk a lot about what's going on in my personal life on my main blog and this would be a decent place to do it without worrying about bloody Valleywag or whatever. But that's not the point. I thought I'd give people a quick update, just in case they were interested.
If you hadn't heard, I've moved to San Francisco! I'm currently living in corporate housing in a weird little flat directly above Powell Street BART stop, and over the road from the Westfield mall. I'm here for about another three weeks and then I need to have somewhere else to live, which is, you know, weird.
I've been here about a week. I'm still at Yahoo. I've got this slightly swanky new job title - Head of Product, Yahoo Brickhouse and I'm working on Fire Eagle which is taking a little longer than perhaps we would have wanted, mainly because most of the Brickhouse crew aren't totally familiar with Yahoo's processes and reviews for security and stuff, so we have to learn a lot of weird things from scratch. Generally the first week in the US has gone pretty well.
I don't have a local phone yet, but I am on IM and would love to see all of you in the US at some point. If I don't get back to you guys immediately, it's just because I'm run off my feet and I've lost track of the e-mail or something! Please be patient, and I'll look forward to seeing all of you once this particular trans-Atlantic crossing and work crunch is over!
